Headquartered by the safe, sheltered waters of Portland Port, dive technologies offer highly professional bespoke engineering, civil engineering and in-water engineering solutions.
dive technologies is an ISO9001:2000 specialist engineering company that mainly serves the marine industry. The company has three divisions serving the Defence, Commercial Marine and Civil Engineering industries.
- In-Water Engineering provides commercial diving support, Classification Society inspections, ship propulsion system repairs and maintenance, anti-corrosion and civil engineering services, including project management.
- Engineering Services provides welding, fabricating and ship repair support to ship operators and to construction industry clients.
- Technical Services provides vessel support, ROV capability, Diving Equipment manufacture, EOD and Security services.
The Company has offices in Portland, Plymouth and Southampton and as a former member of Langham Industries Group, has partner locations in Birkenhead, Inverkiething (Scotland) and in 10 countries world-wide.
The original business was founded in 1984 by Mark Roberts, an ex-Royal Navy mine and bomb clearance diver who formed the company that went on to work in the Offshore diving industry, solving problems by pioneering advanced underwater engineering techniques for clients such as Stolt Offshore, Shell and BP. That formed the basis for today's solution based approach where dive technologies is renowned for delivering cost effective solutions to client engineering problems, above and under the water.
dive technologies has an industry leading track record on safety, on quality and on innovation and can bring over 20 years of excellence to bear on problem solving for your project. dive technologies is an accredited in-water surveyor for Lloyds, DNV, BV and American Bureau of Shipping. It is accredited by the Ministry of Defence to carry out in-water engineering to warships including submarines. It is one of two authorised installers of the world leading Sea Shield™ anti-corrosion system.
In response to requests for anti-corrosive coatings, metal repair products and high performance polymers dive technologies formed the sister company Coatings Technologies Limited which is a main distributor for the award winning range of coatings and repair products of E. Wood including the Thistlebond and Thortex range.

Individuals and entities trading with Dive Technologies post 2 November 2007 do so in recognition and acceptance of the fact that the entity with which they trade is Lullabees Limited trading as Dive Technologies and not Dive Technologies Limited a company that was placed in administration on 1 November 2007.
